Something important:
Now that you know that, let's begin.
Sometimes people just don't have the motivatin or are easily discouraged. Nobody can control everything that happens all over the world all the time (please do N O T tell me that God can because I don't believe in God tbh) and many people just try to keep it on. It's okay to do things and keep doing them if you want to be the best at it, but sometimes it can actually harm you without knowing. I like to follow some easy steps whenever I'm feeling depressed (which is very ofen if I'm honest with you) and those are:
Of course you can follow them if you want to or change them if you think that they don't exactly "apply" to you. It's okay to do things, it's okay to not do things.
"Things change. Accept change and grow, you’re a flower.
Things change. Friends leave. Life doesn’t stop for anybody"
One of the most common things that people stop doing is art (in general). I have had many of those times and I know for sure that it's not nice to think that the only thing that you thought you were good at is actually crap. One of the most common advice that poeple give (still in the topic of art) is "Just keep drawing, it will get better with time" and, sadly, I can't tell you that it actually really worked for me because drawing is not my thing. But then there are those other poeple who actually have a passion with it and here are some stories of people with their experiences of "keep drawing" advice.
2003:
2014:
"just draw. don’t compare yourself to other people, don’t stop because you drew a lot last tuesday and you haven’t visibly improved. it takes time, effort, and a lot of perseverance. besides, no matter how “bad” you think you are, there’s still gonna be someone who thinks the stuff you produce is the best goddamn thing they’ve ever seen in their entire life. the artist you were five years ago would have their mind blown by the artist you are today. so just draw a lot, because every new thing you draw is one drawing better than you were before.
I needed to read this.
very true, also challenge yourself. when you become satisfied do something you’re bad at, change your medium.
This is very, very important. Never give up just because you think you won’t get better. Chances are you definetely will improve."
And now, time for some propaganda. Like Nike's slogan: Just Do It. Just Goddamn Frickin Do It.
I was very astonished with the drawings shown above tbh, it was like "lmao what am I even doing" but just do it, keep it on, carry on, and you'll be better than before.
*Dan Howell voice* And now it's time for the sexy end screen dance, yeah. I won't put a frickenin gif because then they will suspend me from school lmao.
And now a friendly reminder:
*announcer voice* bUT THAT'S NOT IT!!!
